Garden!

Work starts tomorrow on the new roof garden at the Conqueror. This will involve the installation of a spiral staircase in the corner furthest from the door and the laying of astroturf on the roof itself. There will, hopefully, be room for four tables, plus a patio heater for when it gets chilly later in the evenings. Drinks can be ordered by speaking tube and served via a dumb waiter, negating the need to keep running up and down the stairs. I hope to have this all up and running by the time the weather improves which, judging by the way it's looking, should be sometime in 2017.

Chocs Away!

We currently have Foundryman's Gold from the Foundry Brewery, Westerham British Bulldog and the amazing Triple Chocoholic Stout from Saltaire, which tastes like someone's pureed a box of Terry's All Gold - stunning!

Big congrats to the Ramsgate Brewery for winning Best Kentish Beer at the Taste of Kent Awards with Gadds' No.3.

Certified!

As most of you will know, The Conqueror was runner-up in the CAMRA National Pub of the Year Competition. A certificate will be presented at the Planet Thanet Easter Beer Festival at Margate's Winter Gardens and I'll advise which day and time nearer the event.

Current beers are Gadds' No.7, Whitstable Oyster Stout and Potbelly Crazy Daze.
